Going Gluten Free

Well saw the family doctor today he thought that my digestive issue might be something serious. So I have an appointment with a new specialist, but until then I have to try going gluten free. So far not too bad, cereal was my big worry but the first gluten free one I tried was really good. Anyone have good tips or tricks?

I feel your pain! I am currently gluten free, dairy free, soy free and only eating organic, whole foods that don't come in packages. It's been rough since I don't cook (NOW I do 'cause I have to).

Gluten free is actually not too hard since they make TONS of gluten free products. Look for Barbara's Peanut Butter Puffins in the natural cereal aisle. There are also numerous gluten free granolas. Eggs and oatmeal are also good breakfast choices.

Good luck! Most people end up feeling better when going gluten free. Wheat these days contains all sorts of icky stuff and you'll start feeling better after a few days. Be prepared for the first few days to SUCK though. I always get in a bit of a food rage when I cut out gluten and sugar. :) It passes after the first three days and I feel WAY better.

I'm actually feeling better now that I have in a while and its only been 48 hours.

I actually found some organic gluten free cornflakes that are better than the regular ones! (at least in my opinion!)
