Slowly recovering

I was still very sluggish at work today but managed to meet all of my deadlines.  I have 3 hours worth of meetings tomorrow so I'm picking up some chocolate on the way into work so I can hopefully survive a in a warm dark room for 2 hours about our new computer program.

My RA is stuck in a bad cycle right now for me, I hurt and cant sleep so I take pain pills, they make me sleep and kill the pain but reduce my attention span to nothing.  They also make me so drowsy that the only think I can think about on a regular basis is sleep.  *sigh*  It makes work tough.  Thankfully my boss is understanding, and most of my inquires come though on email which makes it easier for me to concentrate on one thing at a time.

Lucas is good I went out tonight and took a ton of hair out of him, and we went on a walk to watch D clean out the turnout pens with his bobcat.

Well, the last couple of days for you have sucked big time. I have a friend that has RA so I understand what you mean about cycles. Thank goodness you don't have the added stress of worrying about your work. I guess it's fortunate that you have Lucas as a distraction from your pain. I hope you find some relief soon.

Stupid stinking RA :( :( :(

Hey, I wanted to let you know that I've had some success with diet changes as far as helping my RA. Does that mean I advocate tossing drugs and only eating healthy? Nope. But it turns out that wheat (not sure if it's all gluten or just wheat) does have an effect on my knees... so when I eat gluten-free, in combo with my Malaria drugs, it's keeping it manageable through the stress of the move and last few weeks at work...which would normally have me flaring out of control.

Did your doc start you on the malaria meds? I can't remember - anyways, they took almost 6 weeks to have any effect, but I really like them now.
